The Craziest Kids Around

I wanted to a take a few moments to talk about everyone in my wonderful class that I love so much. Without them, I wouldn’t have survived here, yet I feel as though I am thriving. They are some of the funniest people I have ever met and have a real love for life that I don’t see much anymore. I want to thank everyone of them from the bottom of my heart for all the love and laughs they have shared. They are very patient and never give up on me. They tease me a lot, that’s for sure, and sometimes I think they have a daily bet about who can get the most confused look on my face, but it’s all fun and games.

From Left to Right:

Alessio: This is one funny kid. He sits in front of me and most of the conversations we have had this far involve alcohol which he insists is amazing.

Ileana: She is one of the prettiest girls I know and I just love her eyes! She is very nice, but rather quite so I haven’t talked to her much

Tania: (in the back) This amazing girls is one of my three closest friends here. We have so much in common and both have a deep routed love for Twilight’s Jacob, or Taylor Lautner. She is very kind.

Valentina: (front) This tiny little girl is filled with life. I haven’t ever really had the chance to get to talk to her, but she is very cute and funny.

Roberta: (back) Roberta is Tania’s best friend and is very shy but has such a large and good heart. She is incredibly kind and one of the most patient girl people here. From the very beginning she worked to help me.

Filomena: Incredibly cute and smart, this girl is simply wonderful. My very first day, I was scared to death, but she invited me to sit next to her. She is always willing to help me when I need it and is almost mother like in her gentleness.

Me: The crazy American who is very funny to these Italians, or so they say. Yet to me, they are the funny ones.

Gabrielle: (behind me) “I don’t speak with you because I don’t speak English.” While we haven’t talked much, he’s a pretty cool funny guy. The other day he got the bus driver to stop before school to let him off because he forgot to study for the Physics test that day.

Federica: Of everyone in Italy, this girl is most like me. She studies hard and is very smart but she also likes to spend time with friends outside of school. Though she likes to sleep a lot too. =) Sound familiar?

Carmen: (back) A smart and funny girl who is so nice. She is the second best in English in class and is very smart but she also loves to joke around. One day we were talking about our crazy class and, “I said I like crazy,” and she said, “me too.”

Luigi: “Luigi is stupid.” Those words just about describe this funny and energetic guy. He is always joking and teasing me, but in the end, he great. Though he’s done some pretty bad things to me...

Elettra: (back) The second of my three best friends, she is the girl I sit next to and is the smartest in the class. She is so kind and is almost fluent in written English, spoken not so much. But she is very cute and funny and she is wonderful at finding happiness even during the worst situations.

Adriana: (front) The third of my three best friends. She was so instantly warm and kind and invited me to go to a party with her. Since then we have been really close. She is by far, the closest to my American best friend Jessica and that makes me love her all the more.

Antonino: (back) “America is the best...a” This jokester likes to play around with me more in my head than anywhere else. We had gotten in numerous debates about Columbus and American history. He is smart and good in school, but doesn’t worry about always doing good.

Ivan: (front) Ivan is the equivalent of the popular guy who gets alone with all the girls and doesn’t care much for school. But he is interested in many things, including Area 41. Someday, I will explain all about it.

Egidio: “Brianne, viva Italia.” Though he doesn’t usually fight directly, he is quick to cheer on the others when we are debating America vs. Italy. But he’s pretty cool too.

Salvatore: (taking the picture) At first, I thought he was always encouraging me to speak in Italian to help me learn, now I know it’s just because he doesn’t study enough to speak English. And though he is constantly teasing me and tickling me, in the end, he watches out for me.

And that is Class IV A
